THE COLLECTION AND USE OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION - We collect your personal information in order to assess your eligibility to obtain credit. If you do not provide all of the required information, our ability to assist you with obtaining credit may be limited. We keep a copy of your personal information on a credit application in order to communicate with you about the application, and may provide other services to you. A copy of the personal information in an application is provided to our panel lenders, lenders mortgage insurers, solicitors and related parties to the credit transaction in order to consider your application for credit. Your personal information on the application is provided to our aggregation company to whom administers the commission payable by the lender to us. The information held by Essential Mortgage Services is accessible to you in accordance with the Privacy Act. ELECTRONIC AND OTHER COMMUNICATION - On the basis that you have provided your contact details, Essential Mortgage Services may communicate with you about your application for credit, other advices which may be of interest to you and general information about credit for your personal use, commercial and/or business use. If you do not wish to be contacted, please notify us. ACCESS TO YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION - It is important to our relationship that your personal information is accurate and up to date. During the course of our relationship with you, we encourage you to update or make any changes to your personal information by contacting us.

HOW WE STORE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION - We will take reasonable steps to protect your personal information by storing it in a secure environment, and when the information is no longer needed for any purpose for which the information may be used or disclosed, it will be destroyed or de-identified.
